In communities across the United States, the need for equitable development is painfully clear. Families of all income levels struggle to secure affordable housing, maintain decent employment, and maintain the environmental safety of their neighborhoods. On April 18th, please join us and our guest speaker Victor Rubin of Policylink for a presentation on Development Without Displacement. Mr. Rubin will discuss strategies for reversing undesirable development patterns and highlight PolicyLink's Equitable Development ToolKit, a comprehensive set of policy options to advance economic and social equity crafted to help community builders achieve diverse, mixed-income neighborhoods.

Victor Rubin, Vice President for Research at PolicyLink, leads knowledge-building, evaluation, and qualitative and quantitative analysis activities to build a strong research base for equitable development strategy, community capacity building, and policy advocacy. Mr. Rubin previously directed the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of University Partnerships, where he administered grants to institutions of higher education for community engagement and support of students in community development fields. He also served for 13 years as director of Research and Community Programs of the University-Oakland Metropolitan Forum.
