PolicyLink Equitable Development Toolkit - TOD (added May 08)

PolicyLink has a new addition to its Equitable Development Toolkit on Transit Oriented Development. This tool focuses on how to implement TOD in a way that achieves equity goals. Find this document in the "Principles of Transit-Oriented Development" Section.

Standards of Excellence in Civic Engagement (added July 08)

The Harwood Institute explains how public agencies can learn from the community, use what they learn, and demonstrate that public knowledge matter. Find this document in the "Community Involvement" Section.

Building Child Care Centers in TOD (added July 08)

LINCC's newest report in collaboration with MIG. It outlines opportunities and obstacles for developing child care in TOD and summarizes trends supporting the collocation of child care and TOD; examples from across the country; challenges and solutions related to design, siting and financing; and resources to get started. Great Communities Toolkit Additions (April 08)

The Great Communities Toolkit has three new additions:
  • New handout on TOD
  • Updated table of contents, map, and local business handout.
  • New appendix item that gives an overview on the Urbemis Traffic Modeling system
